Two ancient forces. One sacred object.
The Om symbol has been with me since long before I ever picked up a tool. Growing up in Cali, then finding my way through yoga, meditation, and decades of working with my hands, Om became something I return to again and again. It is not a trend for me. It is a truth.
Mokume Gane is a Japanese metalsmithing technique I fell in love with years ago. It layers metals together until they create a pattern that looks like wood grain, like water moving, like something that has always existed and you are just now seeing it. There is nothing else like it.
This pendant holds both of those things. The Om and the Mokume, together on a red cord, the color we use back home to protect and attract good energy. It is a piece I am genuinely proud of and a little sad to let go.
