In the heart of my Black Forest, Colorado studio, a rare piece has emerged — one that carries both the soul of an ancient city and the magic of an ancient craft.

This is the Flor de Barcelona Double Ring, forged entirely by my hands using the centuries-old mokume gane technique.

The Flor de Barcelona is more than a decorative motif — it is a silent guardian. Found on the tiles and architecture of the Catalan city, this four-petal flower has watched over its streets for generations. For me, it is a symbol of beauty in the everyday, of protection during journeys, and of the soul of a place that refuses to be forgotten.

🔥 The Alchemy of Mokume Gane

Mokume gane — Japanese for wood grain metal — is a technique born in the 17th century, originally crafted for samurai sword fittings.

It is an art of patience: layers of precious metals are fused together, not soldered, but united as one. When carved and shaped, these layers reveal flowing patterns, each as unique as a fingerprint.

No two patterns will ever be the same — making this ring truly one-of-a-kind.
