Some details on the piece:
This piece has two fronts, both sides have equal importance; many of the elements are copper pieces adorned with decals and acrylic enamel paints, miniature sterling silver components. The inside door is etched with a handwritten poem that Kahlo wrote to Diego. The same letter has also been copied on top of Frida’s picture using decal paper and enamels.
One front is hand painted with acrylic enamels, kinetic skulls, brass wings, sterling silver western motives, a huge kinetic and enameled red flower because Frida Loved red flowers!
The other front has been saw pierced and etched with Frida’s silhouette and a mandala. It has been enameled and patina to make it colorful.
Lots of small details with this piece; like the beads and gemstones:
Red coral, labradorite, pink quartz, turquoise, bone skulls, citrine, amber and turquoise, red leather leaf 🍂, miniature tassel.
